Last weekend, Julia and her dad went to Camp Low Echo for a "Me and My Guy" Girl Scout camp. Dad is certainly dedicated because the camp is 6 hours away from our house. They had a great time together at camp.

S'mores at campfire with other girls and their dads.
Julia with her bow and arrow.
And what would any Dad/Daughter camp be without a pinewood derby? Julia didn't make a pineWOOD derby car, she made a pineCONE derby car. Jonathan says that the cars for a girl-based pinewood derby were very different than one for boys. The dad's were all overly excited and competitive about these too, but the girls' cars were less about speed and more about cuteness.
Swimming in Lake of the Woods.... She also got to go canoeing in the same lake.
Julia worked hard on her masterpiece - a water color of the scenery (Mt. Mcloughlin) at camp.
They had a fun weekend together. Three days and 12 hours in the car later, they say they would do it again sometime. Perhaps at a camp much closer to home.

That really looks like a cool thing for a dad & daughter. Belinda would enjoy that, I think. I love Julia's car, and her painting. Beautiful place!
