Bad Sport, Good Sport

As a disclaimer to the statement I am about to make: I realize that any sport that my children should choose to participate in is good for their physical well-being. However, that being said, there are sports that are "better" for this mom to view than others. And while I was impressed with Jourdan's perseverance during Cross country.... the mud, the running (which I truly DO NOT understand, not even remotely), and the difficulty for parents to watch this sport...I'd much rather watch Julia's new sport.
Yes, she joined the volleyball team (she even made the "A" team despite only playing 4-5 times before try-outs).  And, yes, I realize that I am partial to the sport.  It does, however have it's advantages: it's easy to watch, it's indoors, there's no mud, I understand the rules, much less muddy laundry, and I know almost all the players on the team.
Here's Julia with one of her closest buddies, McKenna.  These two were also on the same community basketball team last year and hope to both make the middle school team together.
Before every game....the girls "assume the position" below:
And, here's the audio (especially for Grandpa Hale):
Just in case you need a translation for that. they're saying, "Eat, play volleyball, eat, play volleyball, eat, play volleyball, sleep.  Eat, play volleyball, (repeats) ........ WIN!"  Julia is number 2.  My pictures are not really clear because I didn't want to use flash and interrupt the game, so just use your imagination and pretend they're clear.
Julia's up to serve:
Here's a typical rally from her very last (home) game.  Julia is in the front row on the right. (She's in gold, not blue...just in case your memory is short like mine and you've forgotten what color her team wears since the last picture.)

Ah!!! That is really, really fun!! It makes me wonder if Belinda would be willing to try out for the Shahala team if Julia were there! What fun for Julia!
