I have fallen behind in keeping up with the family blog. Maybe it's the lack of motivation...because it's not as though we have done NOTHING over the past couple of months. Maybe it's because I got so far behind in my life after teaching kindergarten for 6 weeks, who knows. Anyway, I am going to make an attempt to add a few recent happenings this week.
On Saturday, October 22, we went to what may be the last barge launching at Gunderson for a while. Jourdan was busy at a "Best of EFY" event, so he did not tag along on this adventure, but we took Grandma and Grandpa Rippon with us. This was their first barge launching - they really enjoyed it!
Here's Julia standing in front of the KS-10 (such a creative name, I know).
Right here is where the really cool video of the barge actually hitting the water should be....it refuses to load! (Frustrated!) Anyway, here's the aftermath of the launching. We all enjoyed the fire boat in the background.
And here is where the video of the bagpipe band would be....also won't load. Clan MacLeay lead the procession of observers out to the dock and back. So instead of a cool video with sound, you can "enjoy" this lame picture. If I can get the videos to work, I'll add them later.

Wow, both of those look so fun!!! The firetruck was cool! Bummer about the videos--especially the bagpipe one. That must be pretty great! :) I like bagpipes almost as much as you do. :)
