Thanksgiving

Better late than never, right?
This year, we decided to forego the traditional Thanksgiving feast.  Instead we ate breakfast at McDonald's and dinner at Burger King!  (Wouldn't it be funny if that was the entire story?)
We decided to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge and play in the water park instead of slaving over a meal that none of us really care for.  It's not that we dislike ALL the foods, but ALL of us dislike SOME of the foods, and NONE of us like ANY of the food well enough to spend all the time and effort required to prepare such a "feast".  So, instead, this is how we spent our Thanksgiving 2011:

I've been asked if I feel sad about missing Thanksgiving.....not so much!  I think we all enjoyed ourselves just as much (if not more) than we would have if we would've stayed home and slaved over a turkey dinner.
We are all thankful to Julia who provided our family with the trip thanks to her amazing Girl Scout cookie sales numbers.  (Also, a special thanks to everyone who purchased cookies from Julia last winter!)  This is the second year that she has won the Great Wolf Lodge trip.  Yay Julia!

I'm with you on this one. Even though Mark makes a REALLY good turkey, I could do without it and every other Thanksgiving dish. Except Sweet potatoes, I LOVE sweet potatoes. We did the Great Wolf Lodge thing one Thanksgiving and Loved it! Glad you had a great time.

I think it's a GREAT idea!!! I like some elements of the meal, but I really don't like turkey that much, and I don't love any of it enough to stuff myself until I'm sick (except maybe rolls and pie), so I could kinda take it or leave it. I think you did it just right! Looks fun!

What a great way to spend a Family Holiday! We loved Great Wolf Lodge and would be thrilled to go back any time of year.
