Girl Scout Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Julia's Girl Scout troop took a trip to the local pumpkin patch. Of course, it was pouring and muddy....that's how most trips to the pumpkin patch are here in the great Northwest. There are now 6 girls in the troop (one of them is not pictured because she was late to arrive).  They've all known each other for 5 years, so they have a lot of fun together.
Playing in the hay maze:
Climbing to the top of the hay pyramid:

And....for some reason, pretending to be part of "Charlie's Angles":
(Pretty sure, Julia has NO idea what they're doing.  She's never seen the movie/show; she sometimes just picks up pop culture "stuff" from her friends.)  And no trip to the pumpkin patch would be complete without a hayride out to the "patch" to choose a pumpkin:
And I use the term "patch" loosely in this case.  While we were there, we saw a handful of workers driving around the "patch" dumping pumpkins out of a truck into the field.  (Yes, literally tossing them out into the mud.  Total FAKE pumpkin patch...I don't know why it's so popular in the area, but that moment killed this place for me forever.)
The girls sought refuge from the deluge in the covered corn pit:

While the girls had fun with this, and all other aspects of the trip, I was not amused by the vast amounts of mud in my van and the multiple kernels of corn found around the house for the next several hours.  But, it's not about what's fun for me...it's about the kids - so yay, for the pumpkin patch!

Yeah, mud is NEVER cool. I love the corn pit thing, though. That looks fun! And I agree with the dumping the pumpkins. How LAME. Looks like a fun trip for the girls, though.

Hm. I obviously forgot to sign out of my business blog account!
