So, yesterday was a performance-fest for Jourdan and his new Concert Choir (the one he goes to rehearse with at 6:45am and changed to 5:25am seminary for). They got to sing two numbers at the MLK assembly (the bottom two videos). That evening, they had a concert called "An Evening in January" where the kids got to choose and perform their own music. It was a fundraiser for their trip to San Francisco in the Spring. He and his friend, Zac chose to sing "Home" (originally sung by Dierks Bently). They did a great job. It was fun to see Jourdan get animated...he's usually very serious while he sings.
Note, the African number sounds so much better in the auditorium, with proper acoustics, than it does in the gymnasium...but oh well.
This one is mostly a solo for Jourdan's new friend, Mason, but the choir does provide back-up for him on the chorus.

Love the Western number and to see Jourdan having fun with his friend and to hear the wonderful singing. It is refreshing and makes me proud of our youth.
I'm looking forward to listening to these!! My monitor has some issues so I get no sound. BUT my new computer came!! We just need time to set it up. :/ I know Jourdan did great, so I'm looking forward to hearing it!
I had no idea he sang so well! I guess I know who I can hit up for a special musical number in Sacrament meeting. ;)
