Still playing catch-up with the blog...Almost a month ago (March 21), Jourdan's choirs had a fun concert. Now that he sings with two choirs, we get to enjoy watching/hearing him sing more often.
I'll post my favorite first...for the 5 people who still follow my blog. That way, you won't miss the best one due to so many songs that are posted.
This is "Bound for Jubilee". They were the only all freshman quartet to enter the competition held earlier in the month. In a couple more years, with more experience, they just might win! (But, I'm a little biased.)
This is one that I enjoy listening to repeatedly...although, it's hard to get over the feedback on the microphone in the beginning. If they ever do this one again, I'll have to re-record it. It's called "Loch Lomond". This is the concert choir that meets every morning during zero period (before school).
This is "Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel" performed by the Thunder Men's Chorus. Jourdan sings with this group during first period every day. He's made a lot of friends this year.
This one, Grandpa Rippon took quite a liking to...he wanted Jourdan's group to come and sing it for a church lesson - probably not going to happen....ever. (It's a nice thought though.) It's titled "If" by Rudyard Kipling.
And, the ONE YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR (and by "all", I mean Uncle Jason and Aunt JoAnna)...."Bohemian Rhapsody". Perhaps, the strangest song ever written and performed repeatedly. The concert was the first time they had ever finished all 22 pages of music in one run. They had rehearsed bits and pieces, but never run through the whole thing...until this performance:

Bleh... I forgot. I'm at my stupid computer that doesn't have sound (the one that keeps telling us it's almost ready to die). I'll have to listen to these later.
Bohemian Rhapsody is possible my all-time least favorite song, but everyone seems to love it, so it was refreshing to see that you called it strange. I think it's annoying as all get-out, but I would be interested to see what the choir did with it!
I'll have to come back later... :)
These are all so impressive. And Rudyard Kipling?! Cool.
Wowza. I don't even know what I think about Bohemian Rhapsody. I still can't stand the song, but, geez, they did an amazing job.
I think it's great Jourdan is so involved with something so great.
Thanks for such uplifting music and for being such upstanding youth.
