Decorating a gingerbread house is a Christmas tradition at our house. In years past, I have "helped" the kids to put all the candies on the house. (Mostly because my OCD's won't let me hand over the control. I couldn't stand to look at a creation that wasn't balanced or color coordinated. Yes, I know, I have issues.) Anyway, this year is the first year I let the kids decorate the house ALL by themselves. Here's the result:
I couldn't be prouder.....everything is matched and balanced. The kids alternated the red and green perfectly! I wouldn't have filled the "yard" with candy, but I am happy with the results. Merry Christmas!

It's SO cute!! They did a great job!! (And, as you know, I have the same OCD issues with things being patterns, balanced, and even... That IS the only reason we each do our own house. It's not because I'm fun. It's because it's totally worth it to me to go to the work of making extra houses so long as I can keep my OCD.) Your kids really did a good job--what a darling house.
They look wonderful. Merry Christmas!
It's lovely. Remind me not to show you OUR gingerbread house. It might drive you crazy. It's clearly decorated by little ones with very little to no supervision. I would trade the 15 minutes of "me" time while they goop and clutter their way into sugar comas....because most of the candy gets eaten. Our gingerbread house is remarkably bare. I love yours! Maybe one day we will have such a masterpiece.
