Cookies, Cookies, Cookies

This post in a long time in coming.  We had to wait for the new uniform parts to arrive....Julia was thrilled with the Girl Scout skort that we found on ebay.  (They don't sell those any more, so we had to look hard to find one for her.)
Julia's first year as a Brownie Scout, she sold 785 Girl Scout cookies. Last year, as a second year Brownie she sold 1167 cookies. This year, she is out pounding the pavement (DAILY) since last weekend. Her dad has walked down every street in every neighborhood surrounding ours (and beyond). He's way more patient about helping her achieve her goals than I am. As of late tonight, she has sold 1012 cookies as a first year Junior Girl Scout. She is excited about the prizes she is earning along the way. We will keep the side-bar updated with her daily totals (in case you're interested in cheering her on). She works so hard, but has a great time doing it.....even in the pouring rain. And, I mean POURING....we've had two inches of rain in the last two days. We've decided that the weather plays to her advantage....people are more prone to go for the "pity sale" when Julia is soaking wet (this weekend) or when her teeth won't stop chattering from the below-freezing temperatures (last week).

Wow! That is so impressive. My goals go down the drain as soon as it gets too cold. ;) Good job, Julia! I'll keep watching as the tally rises!
