....besides the fact that she's so cute (totally entitled to that opinion as her Mom), Julia is hilarious. She is always saying the strangest/funniest things. For example, tonight, as I was tucking her in, we had the following conversation:
Mom: "Good night, I love you. Give me a hug."
Julia: "I'm too old for that, I'm not a baby anymore!"
Then, she folds her arms under her head and smirks. She's quite lovable, she was just trying to get a reaction. I knew it, but played along and went with it anyway.
Mom: "Come on, I don't have any more babies....can't I still get a hug from you?"
Julia: "NO! You should go and get yourself a stuffed animal!"
Or...last weekend, as she was selling Girl Scout cookies, she drew little "smiley face people" on each of her fingers. This way, she had a secret code with her dad about her "clients" reaction to her sales pitch. On her thumb was a smiley face, which indicates that things went well, and she made a sale. On another finger was a frowny face to represent a polite "no thank you" from the customer-to-be. She had a face that was sleeping; used when people were home, but "probably napping" (as she says). Also, other fingers represented whether the people in the homes had dogs, cats, no parents home, etc. So, as you can see, it was possible for her to hold up more than one finger per household. However, on her MIDDLE FINGER on her right hand was an angry face...this meant that not only did they not buy any cookies (which by itself would have only garnered the frowny face) but that they were rude about it. The thing that makes this even funnier to me is that she didn't really get why we (adults in her life) thought it was so funny that she chose that particular finger for that response. Below is her re-creating of the finger "faces"...the originals washed off, and it was Sunday so I voted that we NOT draw those on her fingers again.

She is SO FUNNY!!! That's why we love her, too. She just kills me.
So glad we didn't earn a middle finger :)
