Heidi's Wedding

After 24 hours of trying to fly out (on standby) we finally made it.  Although we missed the actual wedding, we made it in time for the reception.  The reception was held on the Spirit of Washington on the Potomac River.  The kids had a great time (so did we).

If you look closely, you can see the Washington Monument in the background.  It's really HOT here.  If 98 degrees isn't hot enough....just add this type of humidity.  It's almost as if someone built a huge sauna over the area and left it running day and night.  It's ridiculous. (And my son insists on wearing his black suit!)

The kids, cousin, and friend of the bride....lots of people on the boat.
The kids with the bride and groom.  It was a simple but beautiful reception on the water.  (And there was even food that Jourdan would eat - amazing huh??!)

Oh, I'm so glad you made it for the reception! That looks so neat!! What a great time. We are SO EXCITED to see you in a FEW HOURS!! (And I should be cleaning instead of reading your blog. ha ha)

(The sheets and towels ARE in the washer at the moment, so that counts a little??)

Looks like you are having a great time. Glad you made it. Hope the crazy weather out that direction (tornados in MA?) isn't messing with any of your plans. Stay safe and have fun!

P.S. Is it just me or did Julia chop off her hair?!?! If so, that seems blog worthy...did I miss it?
