This year, we tried to catch the warm weather, and visted the
Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn on a weekend. We usually try to go on an evening (just before the farm closes for the night) to avoid crowds. Note to self: THAT was much better idea. While we enjoyed beautiful weather (too hot for my taste) we also experienced a 2 1/2 mile traffic jam getting through the gate due to record attendance at the farm.
The sun was so bright, it was hard to get pictures without at least one of us squinting or with closed eyes.

so pretty!! i was going to call you the other day. We were able to pick up about a thousand daffodil bulbs from a business that dug them all up, bob was quick to get them. I spent the weekend clipping, cleaning and hopefully they are drying the right way, but I have no idea what I'm doing and hope I didn't kill them all by clipping them wrong...any pointers would be appreciated, and how to store them over a humid and hot summer!! thanks and glad you had a great time at the festival!
Gorgeous! I wasn't brave enough to attempt it this year. But it sounds like lots of other people were, so maybe I don't feel that bad we didn't try. :(
So beautiful!!! I miss that place. Those "black" ones in the first pictures have always been some of my favorites.
