Here's a few shots of the Christmas festivities at our house this year.
Julia decorated the gingerbread house all by herself this year. She did a great job.
The stockings I made many years ago with the "Rodney Reindeer" animals that once hung with my childhood stockings.
The s'mores wreath on our front door. (Year after year, I am pleasantly surprised that it isn't stolen or destroyed.)
Julia spent about 3 hours making this art masterpiece for my frame.
Jourdan made the Santa and Mrs. Claus pictures in 3rd grade (Mrs. George's class)...I use them every year in our frames. The portraits of the kids were done by my friend's talented husband - thanks again, Brian S.
Jourdan's Christmas wish list was as follows: peat moss, bone meal, and insecticidal soap. Possibly the only kid (or dare I say, PERSON) with those items on their wish list.
Julia wanted a basketball hoop more than anything. It wasn't going to happen (our neighborhood does not allow them to be out on the sidewalk, street, or driveway). So, Grandma and Grandpa Hale came through with this instead:
Each kid got one "toy" item under the tree this year...Jourdan got a cool new Star Wars Lego set from Grandma and Grandpa Hale. And, building the new Lego set, brought on the "necessity" of getting the ENTIRE Star Wars armada down from his room.
This is the traditional pose with all the "stuff" Julia got this year.
And here's Jourdan's Christmas collection.
Both kids had a good Christmas, I think. They're looking forward to spending the $ they got from Grandma and Grandpa Rippon for camps or lessons later this year. They gave each other the same gift, again, this year. And that huge jar of peanuts Jourdan got are already nearly gone.

Thanks for sharing your fun Christmas. You're a fun family.
Bummer.... the words aren't coming up for me. It's doing the white background thing again. :/ Sorry.
But the pictures are fun!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your lights and decorations for Christmas. You always have awesome decorations! The wreath is so familiar--it makes me feel like I should be knocking on your front door!
Oh, and I forgot to say how cute I think that gingerbread house is!! Love the roof and all the red-green around it. Darling!
