Just before school got out, Julia's Girl Scout troop took a weekend trip to the beach. The troop leader has a family house near Lincoln City. The girls had a great time exploring the beach, even though it rained much of the time we were there. (That's not really surprising for June on the Oregon Coast - or July or August, for that matter.)
We made s'mores both nights of our trip. The first night on the patio (which was more convenient) and the second night on the beach. Yes, those dots on the photo are from the rain...it didn't stop the girls from making their gourmet white chocolate with blueberry s'mores.
The rain didn't spoil the girls' weekend at all. They spent one evening making tie fleece quilts in the third floor bedroom. We went to Mo's for dinner one night, took a ceramics class, went to the pool, and explored the tide pools. Of course, the sun came out completely on Sunday morning as we were packing up and preparing the beach house for the next guests before heading home.

My goodness, how fun!!! I can't believe how old she is looking. It doesn't seem fair that time passes while I'm away. :(
