Jourdan calls this his "hobbit campsite". They arrived late to the area, and had to pitch their tent on this hilly area of moss; it was soft and squishy, but not flat at all.
Stopping for a picture in front of Wildcat Falls:
Hiking past Chinook Falls:
The rules for the trip were that they had to spend two nights on the trail, carry all their gear for the entire 15 miles, cook their meals, and camp in two separate locations. Success. One hike down, two more 15 milers to go, followed by the 50 mile BSA High Adventure trip.

I'd say that must be one of the harder merit badges, but as with everything that requires effort, it will definitely be one with good memories. Jonathan said it was beautiful. I'm thankful that Jonathan takes time to do these activities and that Jourdan is so eager to do them. Fantastic kid:)
I think this must be one of the harder merit badges. But as with everything that requires extra effort, it will definitely have it's rewards in good memories and strong bodies. I'm proud of Jourdan wanting to do these great activities and of Jonathan for going with him. They are a great pair.
Wow, beautiful scenery. I love the Hobbit set-up. Too funny.
