This winter, Dad and the kids returned to Mount Hood to finish up Jourdan's Winter Sports Merit Badge. This year, Julia and Dad thought they would take up snowboarding, instead of skiing.
They came home bruised and "broken". I guess the sport is much harder than it looks. The second time they went, both Jonathan and Julia took volleyball knee pads to protect themselves. Jourdan stuck with skis, and he's pretty glad he did, considering the "war wounds" the other two came home with. He was able to finish up his badge before the end of the season.

Nice!!! That's fun. Preston tried snowboarding for the first time this winter (he's never been skiing) and really liked it.
