While goofing around...Jourdan accidentally slammed his sister's finger in the bathroom door. She broke her pinky in her left hand. She's been a real trooper for the past couple of weeks since it happened. She's even learned to write with her splint on - she's a "lefty". Jourdan feels horrible because he knows what it feels like to have body parts crushed in a door (Julia slammed his hand in the car door a few months ago). We waited a few days to take the photos and we also intentionally left the splint on (to hide the nasty cuts and bruises). I was just glad she didn't need stitches to go along with the splint.
I had only one day off that week. I spent the morning in the MRI machine myself, took the kids to lunch, and just started unloading the car when the "smashing" happened. So, back to the hospital we went for an urgent care appointment and x-ray. So much for my "day off"!
