Life Scout

Jourdan conducted this week's Court of Honor for his Communications Merit Badge. This Court of Honor was the first one the boys have had since springtime.  He finally got all his merit badges from the summer awarded to him.  He's so excited to get them all onto his sash.  (Our poor seamstress, she's going to have her hands full this time.)

  • Citizenship in the Nation
  • Citizenship in the World
  • Citizenship in the Community
  • Pathfinding
  • Mammal Study
  • Fish and Wildlife Management
  • Environmental Science
  • Oceanography
  • Carpentry
  • Basketry
  • Tracking
  • Farm Mechanics (thanks Uncle Joel)
The ones listed in a different color are the ones he got at scout camp.  He also got his Life Scout patch and official recognition of his rank advancement.  His Eagle project is scheduled for October 9, so he'll be really busy for the next few weeks.  He's worked hard and got almost all of his materials donated (which is a great relief to his parents as his project is going to cost around $900).

Hooray!!!! Good job, Jourdan!! He is one of those people who actually CAN and WILL accomplish whatever he wants to in life. That is fantastic.

Wow! That's awesome! He's such a great kid. Both your kids are talented and high achievers. :)

(BTW- when Tyler lost his tooth, Nate and I thought of you guys and your fun toothfairy tradition. That's sad Julia never found hers in the swimming pool :(

Where did you get him? No, seriously. Did he come that way or are you the world's greatest parent? I swear he is an adult trapped in a boy's body. Good for him and congratulations!
