The end of summer vacation finally came for the kids on Wednesday. Honestly, I was sad to see them go....but GLAD that I wasn't joining them. I had a few offers for long-term positions this fall, but decided against them. Jourdan is in 7th grade now, and Julia is in 4th. It seems like just last year that they were headed off to kindergarten - time truly files.
Notice some of Jourdans dahlias behind him. It hasn't been a good year for gardening here in the Northwest, but he managed to get some of his many dahlias to bloom.
All the school supplies made Julia's bag so heavy, I had to help her walk it to the classroom. The weather was cold (as is tradition here in our area) for the first day of school, so she couldn't wear her new outfit. Thus, the following picture of her in her NEW outfit. She would like everyone to make note of her matching bag.....

Nice pictures!! I am worried about Belinda's first day of school (Wed.) because it's been 95 the last week and is now in the 60s, and she has had a brand-new (birthday present from Grandma) skort picked out to wear, and I'm afraid she'll need long johns underneath them... ha ha. Anyway... I'm glad Julia got a picture in BOTH outfits! :)
