Tiptoe Through the ....Mud....I Mean, TULIPS

This year, we made our annual pilgrimage to the Wooden Shoe Bulb Company's Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. This year, JoAnna and the kids (Joplin and Jovie) had just arrived (Friday, April 9) for a week long visit. It was chillier outside than in years past, but the flowers were fantastic as always. We literally did have to tiptoe this year because the field was quite muddy in places, but it was worth it.

Here's the "J" gang: Jourdan (almost 12) holding Jovie (8 months), Joplin (age 3 1/2) and Julia (age 9).

I only took one picture of Jourdan in the field this year....and wouldn't you know it, he has his eyes closed. Dang! Oh well, at least we got a group shot!
Here's one of many shots of Julia amongst the tulips. (Her eyes are OPEN in all of them, imagine that!)

Oooh, I love them!! Great pictures! JoAnna's kids are so cute. I bet it's fun to have them there.

Lovely! My mother-in-law was just telling us about a tulip festival that they went to. Maybe it was the same one. It might be on the list of things to do for us next year. My daughters would LOVE it!
