On Tuesday, we drove through the .8 mile long tunnel of trees.....
to spend our afternoon in Poipu, Kauai. Our first stop was to check out Spouting Horn. The kids had never seen anything like this before, and they enjoyed watching the ocean project water into the air.
We found a mother hen with 11 chicks, breaking the previous mentioned record. Julia wanted to pick one up and take it home....we're glad she didn't!
The rest of the pictures aren't "post-able" because they're on an underwater camera that is yet to be developed. We went snorkeling in the little bay in Poipu. The waves were intense everywhere. It didn't really matter which beaches are "family friendly" during our trip because there were too many surf and wind advisories making even normally calm beaches rough.

Those are GREAT pictures!!! I'm so glad you got to see the Spouting Horn--and get a good picture. (We saw something like that on Maui, but I never got a very good picture.) The tree tunnel is beautiful!! I hope you can post some of the snorkeling pictures at some point (even though it would require scanning them in)--I'd love to see them!!
